Jean-Paul “JP” Polo is a multi-Emmy and Cannes Lion award-winning filmmaker and creative visionary from Puerto Rico. After a defining seven-year tenure at National Geographic, he transitioned into destination marketing, eventually pivoting to build his own creative empire. Today, he is the founder of Wanabi Puerto Rico, a premier production company dedicated to high-impact visual storytelling. He also channels his passion for his homeland into running Whatever Puerto Rico, a massive social media phenomenon showcasing the island’s ultimate travel experiences. With three Emmy Awards and a prestigious Cannes Lion to his name, Jean-Paul has solidified his reputation as a powerhouse in global media production. Beyond the director’s chair, he is an avid golfer committed to expanding the sport locally, a dedicated foodie, and a champion of Puerto Rican culture.
