His parents’ noticed his interest in drawing at a young age and nurtured it by enrolling him in art classes at the local art school. Later received his diploma from Central High School of Visual Arts and continued his education at the Escuela de Artes Plasticas. He dedicated himself to incorporating various techniques of classic art into urban art, specializing in murals.

Javier Cintron, Paintor Santurce P.R.

Born in Puerto Rico in 1967 and has lived there and in New York as well; He identifies himself as a “Nuyorican.” Cintrón says his works reflect the clash between these two different identities and the diaspora of Puerto Rican people living outside the island (particularly in the United States). In the larger context of Puerto Rican art, the clash of identities is a very common theme; Puerto Rico as an island and nation has always been occupied or controlled by another country, and the inhabitants need to fight to express and maintain their own nationality. Puerto Rican artists like Cintrón carry out this work of struggle through their art.

Kroniko Arte, Muralist San Juan P.R.

Luis “Güillo” Cruz Martes is a graphic and plastic artist born in 1982 in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, and raised between the diaspora and the highlands of Jayuya. From an early age, he showed great talent for drawing, which led him to develop a unique and visually striking painting style that has become the core of his artistic work.

Rocio Delgado, Paintor Ciales P.R.
